Ynysforgan
Ynysforgan is a village near Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales. It lies on the M4 motorway, just off Junction 45, geographically between Morriston and Ynystawe. The origins of the name are unclear but Ynys is Welsh for island and forgan is a mutation of the name Morgan so a reasonable translation would therefore be Morgans Island. The river Tawe runs in the vicinty of Ynysforgan so its not unreasonable to speculate there may be some localised historical connection. Several other locations also use the term Ynys in their names including Ynystawe (neighboring village to Ynysforgan); Ynysmedwy (near Pontardawe) and Ynystanglws Farm (near Ynystawe). Cwmrhydyceirw Cwmrhydyceirw is a village in Morriston, based in the City and County of Swansea, south Wales. The village is located about 1 mile north of Morriston town centre. It is home to the main campus of Morriston Hospital, Morriston Comprehensive School and Cwmrhydyceirw Primary School. The English translation of the name means "the valley of the stags' ford" which gave rise the name of local pub "The Deer's Leap". However, the name of the village may corrupted from its original, thought to have been "Cwmrhydycwrw" - a reference to the ale-like appearance of the local stream ("cwrw" meaning ale).[1] Caemawr Caemawr (literal translation "big field") is a hilly area in the electoral ward of Morriston, Swansea, Wales located just ½ mile (1 km) east of Morriston town centre.
